Requesting that the company do the ethical thing and cover the issue that was possibly caused by the device they place on the car as well w/i 90days. On 11/6 I called to make a car payment. I was told that the device they have placed on my vehicle was sending them alerts and they need to check it out. I was also asked if I was having trouble with my car. The only concern I mentioned was that sometimes when I push on the gas pedal it almost seems like it doesn't want to go. Female on the line said no, we are looking for electrical problems, such as lights or anything along that line. I then responded by saying nothing like that has happened at this point. She said when I get a chance to take off please bring the car in for them to check it out. No cost to me. The next day I went to roll down my window to order food and my window would not roll back up. This led me to believe this was the issue she was referring to as well as they were aware of an issue on my car. Monday I took my car in only to have to pay $****** due to a switch wasn't working and that's why my window would not roll up. I'm upset because I feel they were already aware of this issue otherwise why would she ask if I was having problems with my vehicle. Also I have only had this car 3 mos on the dot when I spoke to her about the car. I feel not only should they do the right thing and cover this since I only had the car 90 days but also refund my money back for repairs. …Read More

went to Lubbers. .they ddint ask for our SSNs to run a credit check . but asked for our monthly income. . we got a car booking at $12,000, final cost is $22,250... we like the car. .but . is this illegal? we willl NOT do business with them again. .

In order to finance a vehicle, we are required to pull the applicant's credit history. That is only done by obtaining the SSN, as well as a credit application signed by the applicant that we then submit. We retain these documents for compliance, and would be happy to review with you as needed. Your second concern details the price of the vehicle, versus a final cost. To review, if financing is secured at a rate above 0%, there will be a corresponding interest rate charged for borrowing from the lender. The finance charge is in addition to the agreed upon price of the vehicle, and is determined by criteria set forth by the lender and based on credit worthiness.
